Terms of service.

By creating an account or using 8Raise (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These terms form a binding agreement between you and 8Raise. Contact us with any question at hi@8raise.com.

8Raise is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that helps you discover investors matching criteria you describe. We provide:

• An MCP server you connect to via Claude
• A web dashboard to manage your account, plan, and API key
• Search across publicly-available investor data sources
• AI verification, scoring, and enrichment of search results
• Export capabilities (CSV, XLSX)

• You must be at least 18 years old to use 8Raise
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date
• You are responsible for safeguarding your password and API key. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account
• One person or organization per account. You may not share your API key publicly or with third parties not authorized to act on your behalf

You agree NOT to:

• Use 8Raise to harvest contact data for spam, mass cold outreach beyond reasonable investor outreach, or any unsolicited commercial communication that violates CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, or any applicable anti-spam law
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the data or lead lists you obtain from 8Raise
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service
• Use the Service to violate the privacy of investors or other third parties
• Attempt to circumvent plan limits (rotating accounts, sharing keys, etc.)
• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, defamatory, or harassing purposes
• Submit malicious requests, attempt denial-of-service, or probe security boundaries without prior authorization

Violation of acceptable use can result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

• We offer four paid plans: Solo ($59/mo), Starter ($179/mo), Growth ($529/mo), Pro ($1,059/mo). Quarterly and annual billing options offer 15% and 30% savings respectively. An active subscription is required to use the product
• Paid plans bill in advance through Stripe. Prices in USD unless otherwise specified
• Plans renew automatically. You can cancel anytime via the dashboard or Stripe Billing Portal
• Cancelling stops future billing but does not refund the current period
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers keep their original pricing for the remainder of their billing cycle

We do not offer refunds for partial months or unused credits. If you experience a service issue we cannot resolve, contact hi@8raise.com and we'll review case by case.

If we materially change the Service in a way that significantly degrades it, you may request a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of your current billing cycle.

8Raise aggregates publicly available data from sources including LinkedIn, SEC filings, UK Companies House, and third-party scrapers. We do not guarantee:

• Completeness or accuracy of any individual data point (titles, emails, fund affiliations, AUM)
• That email addresses returned will deliver, accept, or be monitored
• That investors returned will respond to your outreach

Verify critical data before acting on it. Use of this data is at your own risk.

The Service, including code, design, branding, and all proprietary content, is owned by 8Raise and protected by applicable IP law.

You retain ownership of your search queries, saved leads, and exported data. You grant us a limited, internal license to process your queries and store associated metadata for the purpose of operating the Service.

Our Service depends on Anthropic (Claude), Apify, Stripe, Supabase, Twilio, Vercel, and Railway, among others. Their terms apply to data they process. We are not responsible for third-party outages, but we'll make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain availability.

We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee any specific service-level. We may schedule maintenance and downtime as needed. We will give reasonable notice when possible.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, 8RAISE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (b) USD $100.

IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

You agree to indemnify and hold 8Raise harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

You may terminate your account anytime via the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or for any reason at our discretion, in which case we'll refund any pre-paid unused portion of your current billing cycle (except in cases of acceptable-use violation).

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which 8Raise is incorporated, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted, otherwise in the courts of that jurisdiction.

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email and a notice on the dashboard at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
