How it works

Find investors by filter.

Search is the first path inside 8Raise. Pick a mode, set region, investor type, sector, and keyword. We pull matching firms from our investor catalog and surface the right partner contacts with verified LinkedIn and email.

Quick walkthrough: pick VC mode, set Europe + Fintech, click Run, watch the ranked partner list appear with verified contacts.
01. What it is

Describe who you want, get ranked matches.

Type your filters into a form (mode, region, investor type, sector, optional keyword) and 8Raise queries our 10,000+ firm investor catalog, ranks the matching firms, and pulls the right partner contacts at each one.

No chat required. Everything happens on the dashboard at app.8raise.com. The same engine also powers the Claude / ChatGPT / Perplexity integration if you prefer running searches from your AI assistant.

02. Three modes

Pick the right entry point.

VC

Venture capital, corporate venture, angels, angel groups, accelerators, growth equity, PE/buyout, mezzanine, plus secondary buyers and corporate investors. Filter by stage, sector, and the firm's HQ region or specific country.

Real Estate

Real estate funds, REITs, RE PE, RE VC, and crossover family offices / asset managers / wealth shops that allocate to real estate. Always queries with the right RE-anchor keyword unless you override it.

LP / Allocators

Pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, sovereign wealth, fund of funds, insurance, plus specialized categories like Hedge Fund, Asset Manager, Wealth Management, Investment Bank, Limited Partner, University, and Government.

03. The three steps

From filters to ranked leads.

Step 01

Set filters

Mode is the only required pick. Add region (continental bucket), specific countries or cities, one or two investor types, and an optional sector / keyword. Each filter narrows the catalog query before it hits the investor database.

Step 02

Set output

Choose how many leads you want (capped to your plan's per-search limit), which contact channels you require (email, LinkedIn, phone), and optionally exclude prior searches or saved-lead tags. Hit Run.

Step 03

Results land in the dashboard

Ranked list of investors with verified LinkedIn, email, phone (when available), location, investor type, fund size, stages, sectors, AUM, and firm details. Save, tag, export to CSV / Excel, or push to HeyReach for outreach.

04. What you get back

Verified contacts, full firm profile.

Verified LinkedIn match

Every lead's LinkedIn URL is resolved by matching the partner's name against the firm's positions and current employer. When we can't verify the right person on LinkedIn, we still deliver the lead with their email and phone, tagged as 'LinkedIn not found' so you know what you're getting.

Curated email + phone

Primary contact email + phone come straight from the investor database. We layer a secondary email-finder pass on top of that to fill gaps. Each contact channel is tagged with its source so you can filter by confidence.

Firm-level context

Each lead carries the firm's investor type, fund size, AUM, preferred stages, sectors, investment geographies, total investments, active portfolio count, exits, and a short description. Useful for personalisation, useful for filtering.

Relevance scoring

Every lead scores 0 to 100. Database-prefiltered leads with email + real LinkedIn start at 90; the score rises with phone + actively-investing signal + exact role-tier title, and drops slightly for stub LinkedIn (when we couldn't resolve a real profile).

Smart geo handling

Pick 'Europe' and the catalog query honours our database's region taxonomy. Pick a specific country or city and we narrow further. We trust the database's region classification at firm level rather than re-litigating it against the partner's LinkedIn location, so the right Russia-based European VC doesn't get dropped.

Same data on every plan

Every plan returns the same column set: name, title, company, location, email, phone, LinkedIn, investor type, fund size, stages, sectors, AUM, firm context. The only difference between plans is how many leads you can pull per month and per search.

05. Reuse past work

Every search is an asset.

All your past searches live in the dashboard. Rerun with tweaked filters via the “Run again” button, export to CSV / Excel at any point, save individual leads to your library with tags, and exclude prior searches from new runs so you don't pay twice for the same lead. Investor data persists in the firm phonebook, so the more searches happen, the richer the research library gets.

06. When to use it

Common patterns.

You're starting a raise from zero

Founder mapping out who to pitch. Filter by stage + sector + region, pull the top 50, build a personalised outreach list. Save the search, rerun monthly to surface new funds and movements.

You're an analyst building a thesis

GP, family office, or LP analyst mapping the active investors in a vertical. Run mode-specific searches across VC + LP + RE to compare allocation patterns. Export to CSV for further analysis.

You're a sales team targeting investor LPs

Selling services to fund managers (SaaS, fund admin, legal). Filter LP mode by region + AUM minimum + investor type. Push the results to your CRM via CSV or HeyReach outreach.

You're a real estate sponsor raising a fund

RE mode with country / city filters + investor type (Family Office, RE PE, Asset Manager). Returns RE-anchored allocators with email, LinkedIn, and check-size hints.

Counts against your monthly credit allowance

Search counts the unique leads delivered against your monthly plan cap. Solo 150, Starter 500, Growth 1,500, Pro 3,000. Repeat-lead searches (where the same contact shows up across multiple runs) come back as a free bonus bucket and don't count against your cap. Run as many searches as you like; only fresh leads are metered.

Try it now.

Open your dashboard, click “Search”, set a mode and a region, and get your first ranked list in under a minute.
