How it works

Upload firms, get their investors.

Lead Enrichment is the second path inside 8Raise. Instead of describing a thesis and waiting for matches, you bring the list of firms you already want to reach. We find the right partners and principals at each one, with verified LinkedIn, email, and phone.

Two-minute walkthrough: paste a list of firms, configure the run, watch results land in the same dashboard table as a regular search.
01. What it is

Skip discovery when you already know the firms.

Regular 8Raise search starts with a thesis (“seed VCs in Europe investing in fintech”) and finds matching firms. Lead Enrichment starts with a firm list (“the 50 funds I'm targeting”) and finds the right humans inside each one.

Same engine, same monthly credit allowance. The only thing that changes is the entry point. Same Pro-quality data quality, same verified contacts, same dashboard table for results.

02. The three steps

From paste to ranked leads.

Step 01

Paste or upload

Paste a comma-separated list of firm names into a textbox, or drop a CSV / Excel file. The only column we need is the firm name. Optional columns (LinkedIn URL, domain) speed things up. Up to 1,000 firms per run, 5 MB max file size.

Step 02

Configure

Pick how many investors per firm (1 to 5, default 3). Toggle contact channels: LinkedIn, email, phone. Preview your plan balance and estimated time. About 1 to 2 minutes per firm. Hit run.

Step 03

Results land in the dashboard

Same table as a regular search. Save selected, push to HeyReach for outreach, export to CSV or Excel. Every lead is scored 0 to 100 by seniority, verification, and contact-channel completeness.

03. Built-in quality checks

We do the boring work.

Active-role verification

Every delivered lead is checked against their LinkedIn experience list. We confirm they currently hold a position at the firm you uploaded (not 'used to work there'). When someone has moved on, we tag them so you don't waste outreach on a stale email.

Multi-role detection

An investor who's a partner at one firm AND a founder at a portfolio company shows up correctly. We read every active position, surface 'also at X, Y' next to the primary firm, and avoid the common mistake of mislabeling them by their currently-displayed top employer.

Stale-email warnings

When the lead's work email is at a different firm than the one you uploaded (suggesting they primary-work elsewhere), we surface a small warning icon. The email might still work, but you know to verify before sending.

Strict firm matching

If you upload 'Founders Fund' we deliver Peter Thiel's actual fund, not 'Blockchain Founders Fund' or any other look-alike. When we can't find a clean match for a firm, we mark it as 'no_company_match' rather than substituting a wrong firm. Better to skip than mislead.

Role taxonomy across firm types

VCs use Partner / MP / GP. Family offices use CIO / Principal. LPs use Investment Director / Head of PE. Real estate uses Director of Acquisitions. The system understands all four taxonomies so you get the right decision-maker regardless of firm type.

Per-firm relevance scoring

Every lead gets a 0 to 100 score so you can sort by who matters most. Active-at-firm + senior role + matching email = 90+. Past employee + senior role = 50 (still useful, lower confidence). Sort by score to see who to reach first.

04. Firm context on every row

Not just contacts, the full investor profile.

Click into any result and you also get the firm's investor profile: description, year founded, total investments, active portfolio count, exits, AUM, dry powder, latest fund name and size, preferred sectors, stages, geographies, HQ, website. This data persists in our firm phonebook, so the more enrichment runs happen, the richer the research library gets.

05. When to use it

Common patterns.

You have a curated target list

A peer sent you a 'top 30 VCs you should pitch' doc. You have a competitor's cap table. You've been adding firms to a shortlist as you researched. Upload the list, get the partners, send personalized notes.

You're a sales team targeting named accounts

Sales-led GTM with a defined list of accounts. Enrichment finds the right buyer at each firm; the role taxonomy ensures it's the decision-maker, not the intern.

You're doing portfolio research

Analyst at a GP or LP shop building people-of-firm maps. Enrich a list of co-investors, competitors, or potential portfolio buyers in one batch.

You're building an advisory board

Filter your enrichment to Founder / Co-Founder roles to find solo-GPs and emerging managers who'd be great advisors. Faster than scraping LinkedIn manually.

Same credit allowance, no extra billing

Enrichment counts against your existing monthly credit allowance. Same caps as search: Solo 150, Starter 500, Growth 1,500, Pro 3,000. Upload of 50 firms with max 3 per firm = up to 150 leads against your plan, no separate charges. The configure step shows you the maximum estimated burn before you commit, with an “I understand, cap the run” checkbox if it would exceed your remaining balance.

Try it now.

Open your dashboard and click “Upload a list”. Paste a few firm names, run with max 1 per firm, see the result in 2 minutes.
